The Seeing Eye is a philanthropic organization based in Morristown, New Jersey.  Since 1929, this organization has been breeding and training Guide Dogs, and teaching people with visual impairments how to utilize the Guide Dogs.

The Seeing Eye was started by Dorothy Harrison Eustis, after she became acquainted with the methods of Guide Dog training in Germany.  She wrote a piece for the Saturday Evening Post, and received many letters from people with visual impairment, asking her how they, too, could establish a training program.

One of the people who responded to the article was Morris Frank, who was blind, and wanted to learn how to use and train Guide Dogs.  Dorothy Harrison Eustis invited him to Switzerland, where Morris Frank was paired with his own guide dog.  Morris Frank co-founded The Seeing Eye, and spent many years advocating for accessibility for people and their Guide Dogs.

There are many needs at The Seeing Eye organization.  Please visit their website and see how you can help!
