Family First Braille Magazine is the only magazine we know of to combine braille and print.Most people who are not visually impaired have never had the opportunity to learn braille.Our lessons and quizzes are easy and fun, and really get the readers’ attention.
Positive Message
Family First Braille Magazine has a positive message.There is no doubt that living with visual impairment is a challenge.However, in our magazine, we focus on the opportunities and the solutions, not on the problems.We are a family friendly magazine, safe for all ages to read.
Wider Scope
We have articles and features for every kind of visual impairment: from children to seniors, from low vision to total blindness, and from no additional disabilities to multiple other conditions. We also have articles for parents, grandparents, teachers, and other people who love someone with a visual impairment.
Supports Our Grant Program
Ten percent of the money we receive from advertisements goes to fund our grant program.We offer grants to families and organizations so they can purchase the equipment or education they need to help someone with a visual impairment succeed in life.
